On February 25, 2012, Participants, individuals or teams, will climb 660 stairs to fight lung disease.
Maura Studer is the Climb Director, this will be her 3rd Climb. All climbers are timed using state-of-the-art chip timing technology to ensure accurate results, but you don’t need to be a star athlete to participate. The average climb time is under 15 minutes, and all ages and abilities are welcome. Climbing to the top is only the start; you are making a difference and fighting lung disease!
Participants will receive their start times prior to the event via email. Start times will also be posted online 48 hours prior to the event. Start times for the Ultimate Climb will begin at 7:00am and the doors will open at 6:30am. The 30 Floor Climb start times will begin at 8:00am. Participants should arrive 30 minutes prior to their start time. Start times will be assigned in waves. Teams will be assigned the same wave: Climbers will climb individually on 10-15 second intervals in their wave time.
After you finish your climb, you’re welcome to relax and enjoy breakfast and refreshments at the After Party Celebration. Families can also join the celebration after the Climb. They are not allowed to watch in the stairwells.
Emergency teams will be located at the bottom and top in case you need assistance. Volunteer will be available at the water stations to notify them if you need help.
